Community Futures 16/37 helps the entrepreneur who may wish to start a business or existing businesses that wish to expand or invest in new equipment..

Business loans are available from Community Futures16/37 through a variety of financing sources. We are a complementary lender and can assist access to financing through a variety of financing and/or funding sources.  All loan applicants must provide adequate security and a demonstrated financial investment in the business either in cash, assets or both.

Community Futures 16/37 Business Development Loans

Business development loans of $5,000 to $150,000 are available from Community Futures 16/37.  Larger loans from $150,000 to $2,000,000 or more are also available using our extended network of Community Futures offices and other financial institutions.

Please refer to our loan procedures on how to apply for financing.  A business plan is useful for businesses in operation less than three years.  Our staff can assist you with the process of preparing a business plan.

For those in business greater than three years, your last three years of financial statements or income tax returns are preferable.

Terms and amortization periods can vary depending on the business.

BDC Fund – General business development loans in non-targeted areas for starting or developing your business.

EDP Program – Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program offers small business loans to self-identified persons with a disability and may be for starting or growing their business.

Fisheries Fund – dedicated toward support of traditional commercial and sports fisheries.

 

FUTURPRENEUR Canada(formerly CYBF) Loans – This program is for youth 18-34 and is accessible through Community Futures16/37. For more information go to: www.futurpreneur.ca and call us for access to the futurpreneur Canada loan program.

In addition we partner with the Business Development Bank of Canada www.bdc.ca and/or your personal banking institution in the financing of your business.
